WHAT'S OUR PERSONAL STORY

Our heart passion is to see God at work in the lives of individuals.

I was raised in a non-Christian family. I barely graduated from high school. In my late teens and early twenties, I was an addict who sold cars for a living. My partner in crime found Jesus and told me about this amazing gift. My life was forever changed.

    My Formal Education Includes:

    • BA - from Christ College Irvine (now Concordia University Irvine) in Elementary Education - yes, I became a teacher
    • M Div - from Fuller Theological Seminary

    My Practical Education Came From:

    • Resurrection Lutheran Church in Des Moines, Washington, where I was: Wholeway House Director (a church-run sober living home)
    • Director of Evangelism
    • Director of Children and Youth Ministry
    • Our Savior's Community in Palm Springs, California, where I was: Children's & Youth Pastor
    • World Missions and Ministry Team Leader
    • Associate Pastor
    • Interim Senior Pastor

My favorite thing to do is engage people in talking about the deep questions of life and what the Bible might say about them.

    CREATIVE PRAYER COACH

I was raised in an active Christian family, who voluntarily led several ministries in our local church - in other words, I spent a lot of time at church or working on church projects at home. I don't ever remember not having Christ at the center of my life. Though I was exposed to God through my parents, I have deeply personal faith with my Savior, who has been present through all the highs and lows my life.

    Formal Education:

    • BA - University of Puget Sound, Tacoma, Washington - Business Administration/Marketing
    • Masters and Doctorate - Wagner Leadership Institute, Pasadena, CA - Practical Ministry
    • Masters Diploma in Biblical Counseling from American Association of Christian Counselors
    • Diploma in Christian Life Coaching from American Association of Christian Counselors, with an emphasis in Spiritual Formations Coaching

    Practical Ministry Training:

When I take time to think about all the ways God has shaped and molded me for ministry over the years I'm stunned. The following are a few of the areas of ministry I've been involved in (this is not an exhaustive list, and it doesn't include jobs where I learned skills I currently use for ministry - like being a computer systems analyst):

    • Sunday School Teacher
    • Youth Leader
    • Curriculum Writer
    • A/V support for a Worship Team
    • Co-leader at the Wholeway House
    • Prayer Ministries - both inside the church and through para-church ministries
    • Adult Bible Study Teacher
    • Conference Speaker
    • Church Secretary/Office Administrator
    • Senior Pastor's Personal Assistant (not for David)

Not only am I the webmaster, I'm the Sunday morning A/V person and the person who keeps the paperwork organized for Live180. Right now, I'm pursuing writing and have recently published: Finding God Each Week: A Focus Word Prayer Journal, as a companion to being a Creative Prayer Coach. I love to learn new things and quietly help others to grow in living out their God-given destinies. Follow me on:
